Gadgets You Didn’t Know You Needed (or Wanted) at CES 2025
Exploring the unique and unconventional gadgets showcased at CES 2025.
For the past few days, the media has been preoccupied with the biggest tech event of the year—CES 2025. This year, the lineup featured gadgets ranging from genuinely innovative to delightfully weird.
Here are my top picks that amused me and maybe even made me reach for my wallet.
1. Nékojita FuFu Robot (Price: ~$25)
This compact robot is designed to gently blow on your hot food or drinks to cool them down. It’s an affordable way to save your tongue from burns caused by morning coffee while adding a touch of cuteness to your day.
2. Swippitt Phone “Toaster” (Price: $570)
This Swippitt invention is said to charge your phone in seconds. The setup includes a specialized phone case and a hub that resembles a kitchen toaster. Insert your phone in, and it’s juiced up in the time it takes to make toast.
3. Hyve Storage Pod (Price: $299)
The Hyve Storage Pod is intended to protect homeowners from porch pirates. As we get thousands of consumer reviews on PissedConsumer.com about stolen packages, this secure box would be very handy for many consumers’ deliveries! It is complete with smart integration for notifications and access.
4. Roam SodaTop Handheld Water Carbonator (Price: $100)
This is a portable carbonator that attaches to your water bottle, turning flat water fizzy in seconds. The $100 price makes it not cheap, but it’s compact, convenient, and might save some money in the long run, especially if you are a sparkling water fan.
5. Electric Salt Spoon (Price: ~$125)
For those who’ve ever worried about over-salting their food or have certain health conditions, the electric salt spoon measures and dispenses the perfect amount of seasoning. Kirin, the company behind this tool, explains that the trick lies in mild electric stimulations that mimic the taste of salt hitting your tongue.
What People Say About CES 2025
Not everyone was impressed by this year’s showcase. As tech journalist Mark Gurman noted:
“So far at CES, a lot of reaching from companies to convince people they’re showing something new when it’s really old announcements presented in some new way. The days of breakthroughs at this show are long gone.”
While not every gadget is groundbreaking, the quirky and sometimes outlandish ideas on display are part of what makes CES worth watching—even if just for a laugh.
CES 2025 once again proved that innovation comes in all shapes and sizes. From solving everyday issues to turning everyday tasks into an experience, this year’s lineup had something for everyone—even if some of these products make you question their necessity. Whether these gadgets end up changing lives or becoming fleeting trends, they sure made CES a lot more entertaining.
